Sumo Ship Battel is my most charished memory of making any game. Everything about this game I had fun with, I just love it to peices. The music was done by a chinese composer called rocky, the explosion physics are fricken awesome aswell! This is the first time I used the random alpha blending to colour my ships and explosions, out of 16 million colours aswell. Everyone still complains this game is to hard, its not hard... you just SUCK!
The idea of the game is to stay on screen it is as simple as that, only for the fact the your recoil pushes you backwards abd you have to keep moving fromt he exploding enemies.
Note: I know thats not how you spell Battle.. its a tribute to Kaiju Big Battel a monster wrestling fed which is totally nuts.

The Battel part of Sumo Ship Battel is not actually a typo, but taken from Kaiju Big Battel. A Monster wrestling fed in America, its just me showing my respect to it.

Back Story
In the distant future, Sumo Wrestling was banned. Due to the excessive weight and health problems of the wrestlers and was outlawed. The people were very angry and started rioting in the streets. The government came up with a plan to substitute its favourite sport, with a flight simulation which carried the same attributes as Sumo Wrestling. Now there is big money, prizes and fame for the top Sumo Battel-ers. It's your time to test your skill and dexterity. Show the world that you are the SUMO SHIP BATTEL CHAMP!
Object of the Game
In Sumo Ship Battel, the object of the game is to stay on the screen. Many ships will come at you, which will be faster and tougher. Try to get the best score and be SUMO CHAMPION!
Multi X
Adds to you score 1 point every time you successfully hit a Enemy, with extra points if you kill the Enemy! Lose Multi X from being hit by Enemy.
Combo Hits
If you kill more then one enemy or hit it repetively with an explosion of laser, you will get a combo bonus. Whatever the combo you got is times by your current Multi X which will then be added to your score!
Tips
If you use your thrust while shooting it slows the recoil effect down.
Try to roundup as many Ships as possible before shooting them.
Always go for the fastest ships first.
Try not to get hit, because you will lose your multiplier.
Sometimes its better to let go of thrust while shooting, for a quick backdoor exit.
Always get into a good space before shooting at the Enemy!

Small 4 Progressive.
Medium 5 Progressive.
Large 6 Progressive.
Weapons
To get new weapons you must rescue the multi-coloured and very polite space men! You must free them from the Cubic Prsion Comet and collect them with your ship.
You must be carefull not to let them float around in space for too long, otherwise they will explode! When saved, they will give you a reward, which is completely random. Here are some of the things you can obtain...
Missles
These are crude exploding rockets, that come in various sizes. The bigger the rocket is, the worste the recoil.
Shotgun
Fires lots of bullets at once, with bad recoil.
Lasers
These dont have any recoil and go through anything. They will not destroy Seekers...
Mines
Plant these and watch the ships blow up!
Bonus
Either Points or Multi-X boosts, these are random to how much they will give.
Enemy
Basic Enemy
A Simple Enemy that is made to push you off screen on contact with the Player, this is the most common Enemy. Spawns in the two sides closest to ship, depending were the ship is.
Health 2 - Base +1 - At 60 Seconds
Speed GREEN - 1 BLUE - 2 +1 - After 1 minutes.
Weapon Explodes on contact, pushing the ship off the screen.
Multi X GREEN - 10 BLUE - 15 Per kill.
Special Enemy
After a certain amount of time there will be a Special Ship, which can be any colour and is the fastest Ship. To make matters worse, they are the fastest ships avalable and have a high explosive radius. They come after 3 minutes and replace some basic drones.

Stealth Bombers
Simple but deadly enemy, with twice the explosive power! They come after every 15 seconds. The amount is random and so is there health and speed! They also have Stealth Technology, they only become more visible the closer they are to you!
Health 2 - 6 Random
Speed 1 - 2 Random or 1 - 3 after 2 minutes.
Weapon Larger explosion than Basic Enemy and Stealth Technology.
Multi X ???
Cubic Prison Comet
This is a danger of the whole game, and has huge explosion capabilities. But this gives lots of bonus and lots of health be very careful! You can bump into these without any penalty, but it will slow you down.
Health 1 - 48 Random to 1 - 100 Random later on.
Speed 2
Weapon Large Explosion and Bumping annoyance. Also has four Seekers which can deactivate the ship!
Multi X ???
Seekers
Evil homing Seekers look pretty but are deadly, they deactivate your ship for 1 second when you get hit by one. Luckily they are easy to destroy, and give a bit of Multi X. They are also not effected by explosions in any way!
